Corporator nabbed in youth murder case

Kolhapur, Sep 24 (UNI) City corporator Ravi Ingawale was today arrested for stabbing a man on September 15.

Rivalry between two Tarun Mandals-- Vetalmal and Phirangai, both in Shivaji Peth, erupted on night of September 15 during a Ganesh immersion procession, near the city's Binkhmbi temple, in which Sairaj had died and another was seriously injured, police said.

Sanjay Jagtap, father of the deceased, registered a complaint with police that Ravi and three other people were allegedly involved in his son's murder, police said.

Ravi and his cousin Uday surrendered before the police.
