CII to organise Energex expo

Tiruchirapalli, Sep 24 (UNI) The Confederation of Indian Industry (Trichy Zone) will organise a three-day energy excellence exhibition "Energex" here from September 26.

Zone Chairman Senthil Annamalai and Energex Chairman P V Kannan, addressing a press conference yesterday, said the objective of the second edition of Energex 2008, was to showcase the potential of Tiruchirapalli Zone as the major energy equipment and fabrication capital of the country.

Some of the key participants at Energex, include BHEL, Cethar Vessels, ETA Star Energy, Wuxi Yangtong Mechanical Equipment Company Ltd. from China, L&T, Ansaldo Caldaie Boilers, Carborandum Universal Limited, ESAB, RRB Energy, G K Sons Engineering Enterprises, Veesons Energy, American Environment Technologies Limited, CUMI (Murugappa Group), Corporation Bank, among other companies.

Coinciding with the exhibition, a conference focusing on "Advanced Technologies in Power Generation" with the theme of "Power to Power the World" would be organised on September 26 and 27, they added.

Tamil Nadu Electricity Minister Arcot N Veerasamy and Transport Minister K N Nehru, would address the inaugural session of the exhibition, they added.
