Railway ticket booking disrupted due to seepage of water

Chennai, Sep 23(UNI) Booking of railway tickets was disrupted for more than two hours due to seepage of water inside the premises Computerised Reservation system at the Moore Market complex.

As the water level surged, the reservation counters were closed by the Southern Railway officials to avoid short-circuiting.

The water was drained out. The counters, which were closed at 0800 hrs, were re-opened at 1015 hrs.

Since the counters in other Computerised Passenger Reservation centres functioned normally, additional counters were opened at Chennai Egmore, Mambalam and Anna Nagar centres to meet the demands of travellers, an official release said.
