Police detain IM chief Atif's cousin in Sept 13 blasts case

New Delhi, Sep 23 (UNI) Moving ahead with its probe into the September 13 blasts, police today detained one of the cousins of Indian Mujahideen mastermind Atif from the Jamia Nagar area of South Delhi.

Shakib Akhtar was arrested from Shahin Bagh area of Jamia Nagar in a raid by the sleuths of the Special Cell, said an official source.

''He was being interrogated,'' he said, adding he has not been formally arrested yet.

Shakib is a cousin of Atif who died in the Batla House shootout on September 19.
