NIIT Tech to deliver cargo handling solution to Cathay Pacific
New Delhi, Sep 23 (UNI) NIIT Technologies Ltd today said it has entered into a strategic partnership with Cathay Pacific for the development of a Warehouse Operating System (WOS) for their new cargo terminal at the Hong Kong International Airport.
''For Cathay Pacific, NIIT Technologies will design, develop and implement the warehouse operating system which will be tailored to serve the growing demands of the air cargo industry.
The e-freight complaint system will be inline with the terminal's facility design to enable the most efficient flow of cargo and to facilitate speedy processing of all types of cargo,'' a company statement said.
The system is scheduled to go live in the middle of the year 2011, it added.
NIIT Technologies has earlier provided state-of-the-art solutions to cater to cargo ground handling operations for SATS (Singapore, Taiwan and Beijing) and more recently at the Bangalore International Airport.
