Kerala: Nephrology Institute in medical college

Kannur, Sep 23: A nephrology institute will be set up in Pariyaram Medical college, the first in Kerala, on the lines of Hirdyalaya at Bangalore, medical college Chairman T K Govindan said. The project report has been completed and the institute would be commissioned in a year, he told reporters on Monday, Sep 22.

Mr Govindan said the acredition of ISO-2000 and NABH for the college would be obtained in six months. The quality and the service of the doctors and staff was upgraded and many orientation classes were conducted for the staff, he said.

An academy of allied health science, a special wing would be start this year and para medical courses would also be introduced from this year, he said.
