Jammu, Sep 23 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir administration suspended six officials for remaining absent from their duties in Poonch district, official sources here today said.
''Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Poonch, yesterday conducted a surprise visit to education, health and other offices in remote areas of the district,'' sources said.
The ADDC, however, found two senior most officials in Education Department and two teachers of primary school absent, sources said and added, ''two laboratory technicians of Sub-District Hospital were also among the absentees.'' Meanwhile the authorities suspended all the six officials and also served show-cause notice to them seeking explanation for remaining absent from their duties, sources said.
