Hearing in Ramabai Ambedkar firing case adjourned till Oct 3
Mumbai, Sep 23 (UNI) A local court adjourned hearing in the Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar firing case in Ghatkopar in the eastern suburbs here till October three.
The Sewri sessions court adjourned the proceedings as the trial judge was on leave today.
The trial had begun on October 18 last year, after ten years of the incident when a prima facie case was made against State Reserve Police (SRP) Sub-Inspector Manohar Kadam, who had allegedly given firing orders at a mob that erupted following defacing of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar's statue on July 11, 1997 at Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar, killing at least ten people.
The case was made against Kadam on the basis of Gundewari Committee report on the incident.
