Bank Unions warn of intensified stir

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 23 (UNI) The National Confederation of Bank Employees and the State Banks Staff Union (Kerala Circle) today threatened to intensify the two-day strike called by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) from September 24, if their demands were not met.

A release here said the strike, called against privatisation and merger of public sector banks, would be intensified, if the Government did not reverse the policies and the managements resolve the issues.
