Prof Soz seeks extension of time for JK tax payers

New Delhi, Sept 22 (UNI) Union Water Resources Minister Saifuddin Soz today met Finance Minister P Chidambaram urging him to allow the tax payers of Jammu and Kashmir be allowed to file their tax returns by November 30 to help them overcome the recent agitations rocking the Valley and Jammu.

The FM on his part told Prof Soz who is also president of Jammu and Kashmir Congress Committee, that he would extend the date till the end of September. However Prof Soz has sought the extention of time till the end of November as considerable time was lost to the trading community to file their returns, a release from the minister's office said.
