Patil threatens to revive separatist movement for H-K region

Gulbarga, Sept 22 (UNI) Hyderabad-Karnataka Horatha Samithi president and former Minister Vijyanath Patil said the samithi will organise a gherao at the Parliamant House in New Delhi on November one demanding to take steps to amend article 371 of the Indian constitution.

Mr Patil said that the samiti has been demanding the amendmment to the article for a long time.

The amendment was done for Maharasthra and Andhra Pradesh but not done in case of Karnataka, he said.

Issuing an ulimatum to the Centre, he said that the samiti would wait for a year and if it failed to consider the demand within that time to amend it will launch an agitation for a separate statehood for the Hyderabad-Karnataka region.
