HC delivers part-judgement in Golf Club case

Kochi, Sep 22: High Court on Monday, Sep 22 delivered part judgement in the Trivandrum Golf Club case observing that the paramount right regarding the land rests with the state government.

Justice V Giri, who started dictating the judgement in the open court adjourned the case to tomorrow when the court rose for the day this on Monday, Sep 22. He observed that there was a lease agreement between the state government and the Trivandrum Golf Club.

The existence of the lease agreement can be presumed by various Government Orders and the conduct of the government in the issue, he said.

He also observed that even though there is an agreement, the paramount right regarding the land rested with the govenrment. The club has only limited rights.
