Irregularities in purchase of books: Puthusserry

Kottayam, Sep 22: Joseph M Puthusserry, MLA on Monday, Sep 22 alleged that there were large-scale corruption and irregularities in the purchase of books for 104 Government school libraries.

Talking to newspersons here, he charged that the fund sanctioned by the 12th finance commission was misused and appealed to the state government to cancel all steps in that regard, and order an inquiry immediately.

The entire issue was not transparent right from the beginning, he charged and demanded stern action against those responsible for the irregularities.
