Groundnutseed, RBD Palmolein up, nigerseed declines

Mumbai, Sep 22 (UNI) Prices of groundnutseed and its oil and RBD palmolein moved up today on speculative demand from stockists, while nigerseed eased amid low buying support from bulk conumers, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

Prices of groundnut hiked by Rs 25 per quintal on speculative demand by stockists. Nigerseed fell by Rs 50 on sluggish demand by bulk conumsers. Both castorseed Bombay and Disa declined by Rs 10 and Rs 45 per quintal respectively, on poor buying support by local dealers.

However, javas 60/70, javas 70/80 and javas 80/90 remained unaltered on moderate demand by bulk conumsers, traders said.

In edible oils (per ten kg), groundnut oil and refined palm oil improved by Rs five and Rs three per ten kg respectively, on improved demand. Cottonseed (refined) also rose by Rs five on better buying suport.

Castor comm slightly reduced by Rs two per ten kg on sluggish demand.

In de-oiled cakes, except undec cottonseed, all cakes remained flat on scattered buying support by stockists. Undec cottonseed shed by Rs 200 per metric tonne amid sustained heavy selling pressure by stockists, traders added.
