Current year cane crushing season from Oct 15

Sangli, Maharashtra, Sep 22 (UNI) Maharashtra Cooperation Minister Patangrao Kadam today said the state government granted permission to the sugar factories to start the current year sugarcane crushing season from October 15.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Kadam said the sugar factories were bound to pay Statutary Minimum Price (smp) to the cane supplying farmers in the state.

The state government has granted permission to 55 sugar factories in the state for co-generation.
