Tripura governor urges BSNL to upgrade service in Northeast

Agartala, Sep 21 (UNI) Tripura Governor D N Sahay today asked Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) management to upgrade their services in the Northeast.

Addressing an open session of Northeast circle conference of Sanchar Nigam Executive Association (SNEA) here Mr Sahaya said telecom network in the region was not developed as compared to other regions despite several packages announced for the Nort-East to offer better connectivity.

He also urged the employees to give their best in implementing the special packages launched by the union government.

Ministry of Communication and BSNL authority should co-operate to extend a strong and efficient telecom network in the region as a whole and in Tripura in particular by ensuring speedy installation of optical fibre cables upto block headquarters, he underlined.
