Renowned artists participate in Kangra Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan

Kangra, Sep 21 (UNI) Prasar Bharti Broadcasting Corporation of India today organised 'Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan' in this temple town.

Renowned flute player Sunil Kant Gupta and Maan Ganderav National Award recipient and Indian classical vocalist Vidushi Ashwini Bhide Deshpande, both from Jaipur Gahrana, left the audience spell bound.

Sunil Kant Gupta, recipient of many national awards, presented on flute Ragas Gujri Todi, Dasi and Bengali Bhatiyali Lok dhun.

Ms Vidushi Ashwini Bhide Deshpande, an outstanding vocalist of the famed 'Jaipur-Atrauli presented Raagas Alhiya Bilawal, Khat Todi and Dadra.

Mr JR Gazta Divisional Commissioner Kangra was the Chief Guest on the occasion who lighted the lamp and declared the Sangeet Sammelan Open.

Mr Tej Krishen Rawal Station Director AIR Shimla, who organissed this sammelan fourth time in this hill state, said that such Sangeet Sammelans contributes in cultural exchange of different regions of the country.
