Rs 2950 crore netted as commercial tax
Bhopal, Sep 20(UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government has netted Rs 2950 crore so far this year as commercial tax, marking an increase of 24 percent or about Rs 580 crore over the previous year.
Total receipts under Value Added Tax came to Rs 2234, Central Sales Tax Rs 200 crore and Entry Tax Rs 458 crore, according to Commercial Tax Commissioner P K Das.
Collections from professional tax came to Rs 54 crore and hotel tax Rs 2.52 crore, Mr Das added. Concerted efforts were being made to increase revenue collection, he said.
