Reshuffle in Police department in Kashmir

Srinagar, Sep 20: Mr Sheikh Zulfikar Azad and Sajad Ahmad Shah will take over charge of police station Kothibagh and Sadder respectively in the city, two weeks before the Lal Chowk chaloo call given by the Coordination Committee (CC) on October 6.

Director General of Jammu and Kashmir police Kuldeep Khoda ordered transfers and postings in the department with immediate effect in the interest of administration.

Sheikh Deputy Superintendent of Police (OPS), Srinagar has been transferred and posted as Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Kothibagh, against available vacancy while Sajad Ahmad Shah, Deputy Superintendent of Police (OPS), Srinagar has been transferred and posted as SDPO Saddar vice Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar, IPS presently on medical leave.

Mohammad Yousuf Mir, Deputy Superintendent of Police Vigilance has been transferred and posted as Deputy Superintendent of Police DAR Kulgam against clear vacancy, Mr Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, Deputy Superintendent of Police JKAP 5th Batallion (OSD Railways) has been transferred and posted as Deputy Superintendent of Police Railways Srinagar against clear vacancy, R P Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police JKAP IV Bn has been transferred and posted as Deputy Superintendent of Police HQR Kargil against an available vacancy and Mr Jaidev Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police JKAP 14th batallion has been transferred and posted as Deputy Superintendent of Police IRP-III batallion against available vacancy.
