Deposit Rs 96,940: Haj Committee to pilgrims

Srinagar, Sep 20: The Jammu and Kashmir State Haj Committee Executive Officer has asked the pilgrims selected against additional quota to deposit Rs 96,940 each through core banking system in any of the branches of the State Bank of India.

The amount should be deposited by or before October 4, 2008.

He has also said that the pilgrims would be provided accommodation in the available category and in case of down gradation, differential amount would be refunded.

As may as 1,500 additional pilgrims were selected against the additional quota for Jammu and Kashmir. With this, a total of over 7,000 people will perform Haj 2008 this year.
