CM assures Captain Goel's family of all possible assistance
Dehra Dun, Sep 20 (UNI) Uttarakhand Chief Minister B C Khanduri has assured the family of P K Goel, captain of hijacked vessel MT Stolt Valor, of all possible assistance to secure his safe release.
Talking to the wife of the Dehradun-based Captain, the Chief Minister said his government was monitoring the situation closely.
District Magistrate Rakesh Kumar had visited the Captain's family yesterday on the instructions of Khanduri and assured them that all crew members were safe.
MT Stolt Valor was hijacked by Somalian pirates in the Gulf of Aden off Yemen on September 15 when it was on its way from Suez to Mumbai. Of the crew of 22, 18, including Captain Goel, are Indians.
