RBI asks banks to hire registered telemarketers

New Delhi, September 19, 2008 : After advising banks to display information regarding interest rates and service charges on the notice boards and websites, The Reserve bank of India has asked the banks and their associates not to engage unregistered telemarketers.

RBI said that this move will reduce the number of unsolicited calls and subsequent harassment to mobile phone users.
