"Splendid Surprise" wins the main event

Mysore, Sep 19 (UNI) Second favourite 'Splendid Surprise' ridden by Harish won the Maharaja's Gold Cup in a record time, the feature event of the races held here today.

The winner is owned by Santhosh S Lad and trained by M P Mahaesh.

Trainers R Foley, Bipin V Salvi had brace of winners each.

Only two favourites are obliged in a card of nine events.
