Jet Airways Boeing suffers bird hit

Bhopal, Sep 19 (UNI) The nose of a Delhi-Indore-Bhopal-Delhi Jet Airways Boeing suffered damage following a bird hit today but all aboard were safe, Airport sources said.

The mishap took place soon after the plane took off from Indore.

The pilot continued to fly the aircraft here and managed a normal landing at 1000 hrs. Passengers were sent to Delhi in another plane.

Engineers from Delhi arrived by a special aircraft and repaired the Boeing this afternoon.

The plane had taken off from Delhi at 0715 hrs and left Indore at 0930 hrs.
