BSNL to link 5 more districts in HP with Broad band

Nahan, Sep 19 (UNI) Sirmour, Solan, Kullu, Bilaspur and Chamba districts of Himachal Pradesh will be connected soon on website, according to State Director (Information and Public Relation Department) J R Katwal.

Sirmour District will be connected within a week, while the other four districts will be linked within three months on website, he said, adding, ''This will enable the people outside to keep in touch with the news of these districts.'' At present five districts, including Shimla, Mandi, Una, Kangra and Hamirpur, which have the facility of broad band provided by BSNL, enjoy the website connectivity, he said.

He said Kinnaur and Lauhal-Spiti district are still waiting for broad band facilities and thus not connected with website.

The latest developments in these districts, could be watched through their websites, which would be kept updated, he added.
