Mumbai, Sep 19 (UNI) Sleuths of Crime Branch arrested three people, including a 23-year-old woman, for allegedly luring and robbing 11 people.

Acting on specific information, sleuths of Crime Branch Unit 5, led by Inspector D K Rupwate, recently raided Bail Bazaar area in the eastern suburb of Kurla and arrested the three -- Renu Jatashankar Shukla alias Priya, Md Anis Shaikh (21) and Altaf Hussain Shaikh (21), police said today.

According to police, Renu, reportedly the key member of the gang, would ask for lift from motorists, mainly those driving high-end cars or riding motorcycles.

''Soon, she would initiate conversation with the victim and offer him 'sexual pleasures'. They would check into a lodge or a hotel and as the man would go to the bathroom, she would vanish with his valuables,'' police said, adding this way she had robbed 11 people.

Altaf was a scrap dealer in Nashik while Anis used to steal scrap.

''In Nasik, the two have 10 cases of chain-snatching and robbery against them. They met Renu at a beer bar last year, when they had come to the city,'' they added.
