2 CRPF jawans hurt in Naxal attack

Jagdalpur, Sep 19 (UNI) Two CRPF jawans were wounded in a bomb explosion triggered by Maoist naxalites, who also killed two villagers charging them with joining the government-supported anti-naxal 'Salwa Judum' movement in Bijapur district, police said.

Two jawans Dinesh Kalve and Sarjit Sonar were injured in the explosion at Timmalpur village near Usur. They were part of a police party moving for opening the Avapalli-Basaguda road yesterday.

Contract teacher Pitambar Yadav of Korbeda village and Basaguda village-resident woman Korsa Lakhmi were, however, killed by the ultras on Wednesday night for allegedly joining the anti-naxal movement, police said.
