SIM again helped to solve a robbery case in Kashmir
Srinagar, Sep 18 (UNI) Mobile phone SIM again helped police solve a robbery case in the Kashmir valley just within two weeks, official source said.
They said a truck driver Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Jammu was robbed of Rs 20,000 and a mobile phone by some criminals in Baramulla on September 5.
Similarly a case was registered in police station Dangiwacha and investigation taken up by a team of police officials.
During investigation, call details of the snatched mobile were probed and it came to light that stolen SIM was now being used in another mobile phone of Mohammad Sultan.
The phone was now being used by Rafiq Ahmad Mir, who was later arrested. During his questioning, he admitted that Hyder Bashir alias Setha and Mehraj Uddin Mir with the help of Hilal Ahmad Sheikh and Bilal Ahmad Ganie assaulted driver Gurpreet Singh September 5 and snatched mobile and cash from him.
Police have recovered the mobile, they said.
