RBI fixes reference rate at Rs 46.71 per USD

Mumbai, Sep 18 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today fixed the reference rate for US dollar at Rs 46.71 per unit, edged up by 37 paise, against yesterday's rate of Rs 46.34 per dollar.

The reference rate for Euro, rose by Re one and sixteen paise at Rs 66.98 per unit, from yesterday's close of Rs 65.82 per unit, an RBI release stated.

The exchange rates for Pound and Japanese Yen against the Rupee were quoted high at Rs 85.1266 (82.9625) per Pound and Rs 44.66 (43.69) per 100 units of Yen.
