Pantajali Yoga Samiti activists demand saving ganga
Dehra Dun, Sept 18 (UNI) Activists of the Pantajali Yoga Samiti under the leadership of yoga guru Baba Ramdev today unanimously resolved to a charter of demands to save the river holy Ganga river and ensure its uninterrupted flow.
At a demonstartion organised at the Gandhi Park here, the activists made public the memorandum addressed to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Chief Ministers of the states concerned listing their demands on how to save the holy river, which had its birth in Uttarakhand.
The contents of the memorandum stipulated the setting up of a high-level Ganga Protection Authority at the central level and declaring it a river of national heritage.
