Mother of three kill husband in Kashmir

Srinagar, Sep 18 (UNI) Mother of a three children was allegedly behind the murder of her husband, in connivance with two people, with whom she had illicit relationship, in Kashmir, a police officer said.

However, it was the mobile phone of the deceased person which led the police to the accused and helped in solving the blind murder in just one week.

He said on September 11, body of one Mohammad Anwar Dar, bearing marks of violence on the face and neck, was recovered at Samarbuk in the central Kashmir district of Badgam.

A case was registered and investigation taken up by the personnel of police station Nowgam.

It was learnt that Dar, a resident of Kupwara, was currently staying at Shivpora along with his wife Irshada and three children.

The police officer said on preliminary questioning, the wife of the deceased revealed that she had last seen her husband on the evening of September 10, when he left to purchase a mobile phone.

She also said her last contact with her husband had been through his newly purchased mobile phone.

He said based on this statement, a detailed analysis of call records of the deceased and his wife's mobile phone, was carried out.

This analysis led to the zeroing in on Manzoor Ahmad Ganie and Tanveer alias Shadaa.

Accordingly, Manzoor was arrested and his confession led to the recovery of a blood-stained brick used by the accused for committing the crime and the deceased's slippers which had been thrown away after the murder.

Besides, Manzoor's scooter has been seized and the tyre marks picked up from the scene of crime bore prime facie resemblance to the tread marks of the tyres of the seized scooter.

The Police has also recovered the deceased's mobile phone which was sold by Tanveer to a mobile dealer in Kupwara.

The accused Tanveer is, however, still at large and a massive manhunt has been launched to nab him.

He said during the investigation it was learnt that wife of the deceased, Irshada was frequently in touch with both the accused.

There are indications that the wife of the deceased had illicit relations with the accused, Manzoor.

There is also evidence to show that Irshada was part of the conspiracy to eliminate her husband in consequence of this illicit relationship. The Police are yet at work in establishing further motives behind the heinous crime.
