Ex-Haryana minister launches new party
Chandigarh, Sep 18 (UNI) Former Haryana Industries Minister K R Punia today launched a new political party named 'Rashtriya Janhit Party (RJP).' Describing the RJP as the ''first pro-poor political entity,'' Dr Punia told reporters here that he had launched the party with the ''explicit objective of bringing about strong and fundamental changes in the government and bureaucratic structure to ensure the uplift of the downtrodden poor masses.'' He said the party would provide jobs with a minimum salary of Rs 10,000 to educated unemployed if it came to power in the state.
Poor families would be provided wheat at a subsidised rate of Rs two per kg and farmers would be given 18-hour power supply, he added.
