28 ill after having contaminated food stuff

Kanpur, Sep 18 (UNI) Alltogether 28 children fell ill after consuming adulterated food in Derapur area of the city today.

The incident came to light at Daniyapur village, where 35 children were served the food at a primary school, District Magistrate of Kanpur (dehat) Rama Shankar Shau said.

Of them, 28 were rushed to hospital, following the complaint of diarrhoea.

The samples of food items have been sent for examination, he added.

Meanwhile, Principal of the said school has been suspended and rights of the gram pradhan seized, the DM informed.
