1,300 Income Generating units set up in Kupwara
Srinagar, Sep 18 (UNI) An amount of Rs 18.37 crore has beem sanctioned in favour of unemployed youths to set up 1,300 Income Generating units in the frontier district of Kupwara, once the hub of the militants.
Officil sources said here today these units were sanctioned under the Credit Action Plan (CAP) upto June this year.
They said under the agriculture sector 359 units were established for which Rs 5.25 crore were distributed among the beneficiaries which include 220 credit kissan units.
Under industries sector, Rs four crore were forwarded in favour of the 230 unit holders. Likewise, under services sector 726 units were sanctioned for which an amount of Rs 9.05 was released.
