Two killed, 2 injured in road accidents in Jammu
Jammu, Sep 17 (UNI) At least two people were killed and two sustained injuries in different road accidents in Jammu region, police sources here said today.
''An owner of the tractor trolley died on the spot and two people were wounded when the trolley skidded off the road and rolled down at Shaloo in Mandi area of Poonch district this afternoon,'' police sources told UNI.
The seriously injured tractor owner identified as Habib, 38, resident of Shaloo, was immediately shifted to the district hospital Poonch but doctors declared him as brought dead.
The injured were identified as Mohd Rafiq, 18, and Raiz, 17, both residents of village Shaloo, while the driver of the vehicle was absconding.
Police, however, had registered the case against the FIR No 83/08 under sections 279/337/304-A RPC.
An injured, who was admitted at Government Medical College Hospital Jammu, succumbed to his injuries, police said.
''The deceased has been identified as Mohd Arif resident of Bihar and was admitted at GMC Jammu after he met with an accident at Industrial area in Kathua district,'' police added.
