Seven held, stolen articles worth Rs 15 lakh seized
Bangalore, Sep 17 (UNI) Sleuths of Central Organised Crime Detection Branch today arrested seven people and seized stolen articles worth more than Rs 15 lakh from them.
City Deputy Commissioner of Police Gopal Hosur told newspersons that the arrested were Mirja Ibna, Aliraja alias Ali Bin Allahbaksh, Habib Ali, Javind Ali, Pravin V Yadar, J Marappa and J Murty.
The gang had purchased mobile and laptops worth Rs five lakh from a firm in the city, by producing credit cards of HDFC and ICICI banks of a person from Chennai. Marappa and Murthy, who were working in Sri Srinivas Jewellers in the city robbed ornaments worth Rs ten lakh, he added.
The seized articles, included 825 grams of gold ornaments, 2.25 kg silver articles, two Laptops, 28 mobile phones besides lethal weapons and a Maruti van.
