MP Oppn leader hurt in mishap

Dewas, MP, Sep 17 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Jamuna Devi sustained a leg injury after her car was involved in a head-on collision with another today at Pagaria Ghat near Sehore district's Ashta, police said.

Gunman Rajbahadur Singh, driver Hem Singh and a woman named Usha -- who were also in Ms Devi's car -- were hurt. All the victims were administered first aid at a hospital in this district's Sonkachh prior to being rushed to Indore.

The Congress tribal leader was en route to Indore from Bhopal.

''No pilot vehicle or follow-guard vehicle was provided to the Leader of the Opposition. That is the responsibility of the district administration. Action should be taken against those responsible for this carelessness,'' said Congress state spokesman Manak Agrawal.
