K'taka BJP demands ban on New Life missionary
Bangalore, Sep 17 (UNI) Karnataka BJP unit General Secretary C T Ravi today demanded the banning of 'New Life missionary' for its evanegelical activities in the country.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr Ravi alleged that the organisation was indulging in conversion activities for the last several years by inducing materials.
On whether the state government had collected the data on conversion in detail, he said the conversion by this orgainisation was very much real and it should be banned.
He demanded that the government introduce 'anti-conversion bill'.
He welcomed Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa's decision of inquiring into the source of foreign funds received by some of the institutions for utilising it for conversion activities.
Criticising the Congress leaders for practicing pseudo secularism, he alleged that these leaders also bank on the 'anti-national and communal organisations for votes only by supporting them in such times,'' he said.
