Jindal Stainless sees 20% growth in net,7-8% in production in FY09
New Delhi, Sep 17 (UNI) Jindal Stainless Ltd, the country's largest stainless steel manufacturer, today said it expects a 20 per cent growth in net profit and sales, and seven to eight per cent increase in stainless steel production in the current fiscal on the account of strong domestic demand.
''We are seeing 20 per cent growth in net profit and sales in the financial year 2008-09...we also expect growth of 7-8 per cent in stainless steel volume,'' company Director (Corporate Affairs) N C Mathur told reporters here.
However, due to better realisations in the domestic market, the contribution of exports to sales is likely to fall to 25 per cent from 35 per cent a year ago, Mr Mathur said.
