Edible oil, sugar and onion prices decline in Delhi
New Delhi, Sept 17 (UNI) Farm commodity prices generally remained steady or have shown a mixed trend in different centres across the country in the week ending September 11, 2008.
Wheat prices remained steady at all the reporting centres except for an increase at Bangalore, according to Department of Consumer Affairs.
Sugar prices remained steady across majority of the centres, increased at Ahmedabad and Guwahati and decreased at Delhi, Bhopal and Bhubaneshwar.
Gram prices remained steady at all the reporting centers except for an increase at Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Patna and Chennai and decrease at Delhi.
Tur dal prices were also steady at all the reporting centers except for an increase at Bangalore and Thiruvananthapuram and decrease at Ahmedabad and Bhubaneshwar.
At Delhi, prices of tur dal and salt remained steady over one week; price of potatoes remained steady during the month; price of wheat, atta, groundnut oil and milk remained steady for six months.
Price of rice increased during the week, while prices of gram dal, sugar, mustard oil, vanaspati, tea and onion decreased during the week.
