'Driver for Growth' to focus on industrialisation
Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 17 (UNI) ''Driver for Growth,'' a conference on infrastructure development, will be held in Kochi on Friday as part of the ongoing initiatives of the Kerala government for the rapid industrialisation of the state.
The conference, jointly organised by the Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC) and the Cochin Port Trust (CPT), would analyse the intricacies of infrastructure development and its professional management, an official press release here said.
Union Cabinet Secretary K M Chandrasekhar would deliver the inaugural address. State Chief secretary P J Thomas, Principal Secretary (Industries and Commerce) T Balakrishnan, CPT Chairman N Ramachandran and KSIDC Managing Director Manoj Joshi would address the conference.
The session on ''Structuring of Infrastructure Projects'' would focus on issues that are important in making infrastructure projects viable. Expectations on the revenue generating streams and viability of long term finance options are the other topics that would be discussed at the session.
The session on ''Infrastructure financing'' would deliberate on the opportunities and issues relating to this area.
