Civilian abducted, four beaten by militants in Doda

Jammu, Sep 17 (UNI) Two militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) outfit kidnapped one person and thrashed four others in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here today said.

''The LeT militant identified as Nissar Ahmed, resident of Barath alongwith his associates, barged into the house of one Mohd Abdullah Malik and Abdul Hamid both residents of same village on the intervening night of September 16 and 17,'' police sources told UNI.

The ultras mercilessly thrashed the intimates and also snatched their mobile phones while they later kidnapped one Ghulam Qadir, resident of Barath.

However, receiving information about the presence of militants, police party rushed to the spot and launched a massive hunt to nab them but no arrest has been made so far, sources added.
