BJP criticises UPA policy on petrol
Mumbai, Sep 17 (UNI) Maharashtra BJP Vice-president Kirit Somaiya today strongly objected to the UPA government's policy on petrol and demanded immediate price cut of petroleum products.
Talking to reporters, Dr Somaiya said Crude oil price in the international market had come down from 7 to . Price of Indian crude basket has come down by 40 per cent and UPA was prompt enough to increase the prices of petrol by Rs five and diesel by Rs three per litre, couple of months back. Now the Petroleum Minister is talking about price cut only when the oil price reaches , he said.
Dr Somaiya has expressed surprise at the attitude of the Finance Ministry to the contradiction in the Forex market and depreciation of Rupee against the Dollar.
BJP has also expressed concern over the American economic crisis and its impact on the inflated Indian Markets. It is due to the artificial support to the speculative, manipulative policies by the Congress-UPA Government. Indian markets, that is Capital Market, Stock, Real Estate market and Forex market had reached artificial peaks, he alleged. All these markets are crashing now and the worst sufferer is the common man.
