Utt Goenkara spokesman to meet Chief Electoral Officer tomorrow

Panaji, Sep 16 (UNI) City-based social organisation Utt Goenkara spokesman Adv Aires Rodrigues will meet Goa's Chief Electoral Officer here tomorrow, in support of his demand for action against Education Minister Atanasio (Babush) Monseratte in accordance with law for providing wrong information about his educational qualification in the affidavit.

Adv Rodrigues today met the North Goa Collector and District Election Officer Mir Vardhan and informed him that Mr Monseratte was trying to tamper with the evidence against him by trying to manipulate the records at St Therasa High School at Bandra in Mumbai.

To which, Mr Vardhan gave an assurance to Adv Rodrigues that the returning officer for the Taleigao constituency would act promptly on his complaint against Mr Monseratte, a Utt Goenkara release said here today.

Meanwhile, Adv Rodrigues has called upon secretary of Legislature to initiate action against Mr Monseratte for having made a signed declaration to the Legislature department that he had passed second year of Bachelor of Arts while he had passed only Standard VII.
