SCR to run 43 special trains for festive season

Hyderabad, Sep 16 (UNI) South Central Railway (SCR) will run 43 special trains to clear the extra rush during Dasara and Brahmotsavam.

The SCR will run 23 special trains between Secunderabad-Kakinada town-Secunderabad during Dasara. Train will depart from Secunderabad at 2230 hrs on September 30, October 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 and 25 to arrive in Kakinada town at 0850 hrs the next day, a press release here today said.

Train will depart from Kakinada at 1930 hrs on October 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25 and 26 and arrive in Secunderabad at 0800 hrs the next day.

These trains will consist of one AC two-tier, one AC 3-tier, ten sleeper class, two general second class and two second class luggage cum brake-vans.

The SCR will run nine special trains between Secunderabad and Rajahmundry and seven special trains between Vijayawada and Secunderabad during the festive season. Train will depart from Secunderabad at 2145 hrs on September 22, 29, October 1, 3, 6, 8, 10, 18 and 25 to arrive in Rajahmundry at 0645 hrs the next day.

Train will depart from Vijayawada at 2130 hrs on October 2, 5, 7, 9, 12, 19 and 26 to arrive in Secunderabad at 0430 hrs the next day.

The SCR will also run four special trains between Aurangabad-Tirupati-Aurangabad to clear extra rush during Brahmotsavam and Dasara festival, the release added.

Train will depart from Aurangabad at 2325 hrs on September 30 and October seven to arrive in Tirupati at 2200 hrs the next day. In the return direction, Train will depart from Tirupati at 0830 hrs on October three and ten to arrive in Aurangabad at 0925 hrs the next day.
