Residents asked to submit antecedents of domestic servant to police

Chandigarh, Sep 16 (UNI) Chandigarh District Magistrate R K Rao today issued orders asking residents not to employ any domestic servant or helper without submitting his or her particulars to the concerned Station House Officer.

The orders, which will remain operative upto November 16 next, will be applicable to all landlords, tenants and those running commercial establishments.

The District Magistrate said that antecedents of domestic servant, helper or maid servant need to be verified in the public interest before being employed.
