Tamil Nadu: PMK holds demo on power cut
Tiruchirapalli, Sep 16: The Tiruchirapalli Urban District Unit of the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) held a demonstration protesting erratic power supply in Tamil Nadu.
The participants condemned the inefficient handling of the vital power portfolio by State Electricity Minister Arcot N Veerasamy and sought his immediate resignation.
In his address, PMK Youth Wing Secretary T Arivuselvan said the today's demonstration was part of a state-wide agitation and strongly condemned the 'undeclared power cut in the State.' He said it was time for the DMK Government to remedy the situation failing which the people will teach a suitable lesson to the ruling DMK at the appropriate time.
