Madurai, Sep 16: A day after the Opposition AIADMK called upon the people to oust the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre and DMK government in Tamil Nadu for failing to check price hike, AIADMK's close ally Marumalarchi DMK (MDMK) too favoured ousting of both the governments for their 'anti-people attitude.'

Winding up the day-long Madurai Zonal Conference of the party here last night, MDMK Supremo Vaiko said his party had joined hands with AIADMK to throw out the 'inefficient and anti-people' DMK Government and its partner, the UPA Government, 'for helping the Sri Lankan government carry out ethnic massacre of innocent Tamils in the island nation.' Vaiko, who is a staunch supporter of Sri Lankan Tamils, deplored the alleged supply of arms and radars to Lanka by India and claimed the Island Nation's Army was attacking Tamils with the equipment.

He further said Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapakse had ordered the European and American voluntary agencies and foreign journalists to leave the country only to hide the 'conspiracy to eliminate the entire Tamil community from Sri Lanka.' Even the representatives of International Human Rights Commission and United Nations Organization (UNO) were not allowed to visit Sri Lanka, he charged.

He launched a scathing attack against his arch rival and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi.

''While he is saying the DMK Government will follow the principles of his political mentor and Dravidian Leader C N Annadurai, why is he (Mr Karunanidhi) hesitating to implement total prohibition in the State, which was introduced by Anna during his regime?'' he asked.

He predicted the elections for the Tamil Nadu Assembly would be held along with Parliament polls at which time the AIADMK-MDMK Combine will sweep at the hustings.
