Lalu not to succeed in taking political mileage from flood:BJP
Patna, Sep 16 (UNI) The BJP today said the Railway Minister and RJD chief Lalu Prasad would not succeed in extracting political mileage from the flood situation in North Bihar despite his best efforts.
State president of the party Radhamohan Singh told newspersons here despite best efforts, Railway Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad would not be able to draw political mileage from the condition of people in flood-hit areas of North Bihar.
''The Nitish Kumar government is doing an excellent job in providing relief to the flood victims, '' he said adding such relief operation was never undertaken among flood victims during the 15-year-long Lalu-Rabri regime.
Mr Singh said one day meeting of district presidents of BJP in flood-hit areas of North Bihar would be held at Purnia on September 18.
He said national general secretary Ramlal and incharge of party affairs of Bihar Kalraj Mishra would attend the meeting to take stock of the relief operation being carried out by the organisation in flood-ravaged North Bihar.
Mr Singh said the state level meeting of the district presidents would be convened here on September 30 during which the rescue and relief operation being carried out by the organisation would be reviewed.
The party will launch statewide contact programme with voters barring the flood-hit districts, he added.
