Fire damages power station at Behrampore

Kolkata, Sep 16 (UNI) A fire today damaged a power station of the state electricity department at Behrampore, disrupting transmission of power in many areas of Murshidabad district, official sources here said.

Two fire enines were pressed into service to douse the blaze, when the reports came in.

There had been no casualty in the blaze.

The exact cause of the fire could not yet be ascertained.

Power supply throughout the district was affected due to the blaze, they said.
